Welcome to the new Blogged!
Hello there. Before I get going a quick explanation of these blogs in the Blogged On…… series, from the Stuff! company. Some of my readers may recognize the Blogged blogs from over on blogger. The idea behind the blogs was to offer content on a given subject (for example TV on Blogged On TV, Music on Blogged On Music) but as well as classic articles like news and reviews, some quirky style articles would appear too. In act even the reguler style articles were made to have a slightly quirky flavour, the idea was content from a different angle, if you like. So these blogs were made and published over on Blogger.
As you have probley noticed, this is not a Blogger blog your reading now, though. We have made the change to WordPress, as when we were trying to add new layouts, we tried hard, for a long time, but we just could not get blogger to allow the kind of themes we were after for our franchise, it might of been a bug, but no matter what we tried, and tried for quite a few months of different ideas and coding (we were using standered html and css that we knew Blgger accepts) Blogger just wasn’t taking our themes. From what we can tell it seems to be when Blogger upgraded it’s system to it’s new interface, we have discovered overs had the same problems too.
OK, so then we decided to convert to WordPress and give them a try. So here we are then. Once the programming team have created a layout for each of our blogs over on WordPress.org, we will have them up and running, with a new domain to boot. But for now, all the content that we would of posted on Blogger, for each of our blogs, will appear on this one blog. So sometimes you may see a TV post, another time a Music post. Then once the templates are created from WordPress.org, you’ll find a new template for each of the blogs, one for the TV one, the Music one and the rest will follow. So we say thanks for the memories Blogger, we started out on your platform and we had some good times, but now we are crossing over to WordPress, hoping that they will give us a bit more of the platform we are after with our templates.
So here we are now, and thanks WordPress for having us!
Hope you enjoy your stay! And if you would like to know more about what Blogged websites are all about and what the Stuff! company is all about, we have an information page (in construction but is view able) over at http://www.blogged.jimdo.com (may also be getting a new domain for that too, but we will also make that clear when that happens!)
